Thankful Fairy Dust

There's always something to be grateful for. For example - at the moment I am pitifully thankful that Beloved is reading kids the bedtime story and I was able to make myself a nice hefty mug of frothy latte. Curled up in an armchair with my laptop and typing away.

The challenge for next two weeks at 7 Kids College Fund Challenge is a project to say "thank you". As long as you use a stamp from 7KCF you'll be free to create whatever you wish. And the choice is wide - Magnolias, Kraftin Kimmies, Penny Black, Stampavie, C.C. Designs, Whiff of Joy - I could just keep counting!

And you better try to play along because a prize is 75.- USD voucher for 7KCF store this time. Just THINK of all the goodness you can buy with THAT!!

My card today is featuring a sweet Tilda blowing fairy dust. She is from Fairytale collection - which  happen to LOVE!!

Colouring is all Copics - I made a mistake with that because she was stamped on softer-than-usual card stock and I fought a lot of bleeding. If you want to use a similar technique that requires a lot of soaking of the paper, you will be better off with Xpress-It cardstock or something alike.

I added a bit of Stickles to the image and kept the card pretty simple. The papers are from Cosmo Cricket Material Girl 6x6 pad, all sponged with Scattered Straw and Pumice Stone distress inks. A nice gingham bow, button, twine and some dew drops. Simple and sweet. And of course took me ages.

Copic Colours
Skin: E000/00/21/13, W5/3/1, R00/01/
Hair: E79/77/75/71/70, 0
Clothes:G20, YG03/25/63, W5/3/1/00, 0
Lace:Y26/23/21

Oh, and I cannot NOT to mention that 7KCF is now carrying one of my big favorites - October Afternoon papers!!!  And there's new High Hopes stamps in the store - you get 10% off ALL High Hopes stamps with a code HOPES10!

I would like to enter these challenges:
Mojo Monday - Sketch
Stamps R Us (2 weeks, 2 entries) - buttons and bows
Gingerloft (2 weeks) - buttons
Scrappy Frogs (3 weeks) - give thanks
Fairy Tale (2 weeks) - anything goes

This is one of my favourite Magnolias & you've done her proud. She's coloured beautifully (the highlights on her clothes & hair are perfect) & I love your layout & that big bow.

Annika! This is sooooooo beautiful! I love that the DP has buttons on it to go perfectly with the real button. Is that baker's twine I spy? With green in it too? Love the big zig zag stitches! There aren't enough beautiful words to describe your coloring and I love that her feet hang over the circle frame! Her hair is amazing! The recipient will be sending you a Thank you for the Thank you card!

Hi Annika, great card! Love that Magnolia stamp. Haven't got the stamp myself but I do believe I have the image somewhere lying about. It just occurred to me that she would also fit a Christams card nicely!!
Will have to check that challenge out, that is some price you can win!!

This is so lovely Annika,I love the background you've achieved! I'm struggling a bit with suitable cardstock to use with the Copics at the mo,I've been getting through loads experimenting with printing Digis. It doesn't show that you'd had any problems with bleeding!Hugs Julie.x

Gorgeous Annika! Your colouring looks fine, even if it was a problem. I slaved over an image the other day, then went to distress the edges and my scissors slipped and I sliced right through the middle of it ! Aaarrrgghhh!

PS Brodie says thanks....but he thinks he might have been caught out!

This is striking - I love the simplicity of it and the gingham ribbon - there is something about gingham that really makes everything just pop! Again your coloring is too perfection - I love how you did her hair and thanks for the copic colors for the hair - will have to experiment with it.

Wow this is stunning! I can understand it took you ages. I am not into coloring and if I try to make a card like this it would turn out a disaster......
But you made a beauty and I love it!

This card is just adorable. I love the green you chose for her clothing. Bleeding or not the image looks fantastic. So far my Copic coloring is really stinky but I'm hoping the paper I have coming will solve some of my problems. Thanks for all the inspiration! :)
