Peachy dreams

I don't have a design team card this Sunday for Sentimental Sundays. The theme is Thankful there - if you have a moment, head over, the DT samples are just exceptional and very diverse!!

Our neighbours had their little girl christened this weekend and I had to face one of my big cardmaking fears (some of which include wedding, anniversary, christening and shaped cards).

I didn't want to make a traditional white or pink card so I went with warm peachy and aqua tones instead. The image is from LOTV and papers from Sassafras Lass.

The colouring is pure Copic Markers and then I dipped on liberal sprinklings of glamour dust, some Frosted Lace Stickles and covered the window in clear glaze. Verry shparkly....

I used some of my favorite laces from Wild Orchid Crafts and gorgeous peachy ribbon I got from Ebay from all the places!!

And then I dumped on loadsa peachy pink pearls. I MIGHT admit that I went a bit overboard with these. Very reluctantly, mind you! :P

I'd like to enter these challenges:
Pink Elephant - Sketch
LOTV - glitter and glitz
City Crafter - little children
Cinema Saturday - a hint of lace
Crafty Emma - lovely lace
Crazy 4 Challenges - circles
Charisma Cardz (3 entries) - babies
Pals Paper Arts - ribbon or fabric
Simon Says Stamp - sparkle
Stamps R Us (2 weeks, 2 entries) - sparkle and scallops

Thanks for looking and happy crafting!!
Hugs

What a fabulous card Annika! I love the peach colour. The image is gorgeous, love the lace, ribbon & how you've personalized it with Chloe's. And no... there aren't too many pearls. You can never have too many pearls or Stickles... ever!

:) For a "fear" card you did GREAT! You did add a lot of pearls hihi but "me likey"... I would have probably added more for a little girl...:) That and a ton of glitter everywhere. LOL! Am I getting some regret traces at the back of my mind?

Lovely card...oh did I say I like the colors??

Hugs,
Laura

Absolutely gorgeous. Love the image you've used, love the flowing gown the baby has on. There is no need to be worried about making christening cards, as your card just shows how talented and clever you are. Also love the personal touch on the sentiment
