OK, so maybe I'm NOT the most organized person in the world...

I've known for a month what the theme for Make It Crafty For Fun challenge is - and of course I made it pretty much last minute, panting. Well, maybe not last minute - the minute before last minute. Yeah. That's better. And I know that cause I'm going to show you another card later today and THAT was last minute.

I blame global warming. Gotta blame something. Totally won't admit that I've been mojoless and lazy. Nope.

Anyway, the theme for the challenge is to make Anything But A Card. Yeah. So I did.

I heard you! Yes you, laughing hysterically, pointing at me! I hope for your sake it's because my creation is hilarious, not that you failed to identify a SHADOW BOX and mistakenly took it for a card.

Tut-tut! Clearly a SHADOW BOX, see, thanks to my crappy photography skills it even has some pretty sharp shadows. No mistake can be made. It's not me, it's you.

Now that I have it off my chest, I thought I'll briefly mention some card...erm shadow box details too. Images are called Aussie Santa and Gingerbread House. The colouring is pure Copic job, nothing added. Except about a bucketful of Glamour Dust and some Viva Pearl pen. And no, I didn't write anything down, I was too late making it so just pushed myself to actually get it done, lol

Because there were two strong images I chose to have a very clean design - well, for me anyway. The felt frame is cut with Spellbinders and I just got those cool border dies from MFT so had to play, obviously. As a result - a lot of felt borders.

And it wouldn't have been my c...shadow box unless there was some baker's twine involved. Or twill tape. Or both.

So there, that's all the entertainment for now. I'd like to enter some challenges though!!
Bunny Zoe's Crafts (2nd monday) - christmas but no cards (stop laughing like a hyena)
Cards For Men (2 weeks) - MASCULINE and christmas
Stamps R Us (2 weeks, 2 entries) - sparkle and scallops
Die Cut Dreams - anything but a card
Gingerloft (2 weeks) - great outdoors
Scrappy Frogs (3 weeks) - christmas
Catch The Bug (1 entry) - christmas crafts
Our Creative Corner - anything but a card
Stamp, Scrap & Doodle - no flowers
Pals Paper Arts - ribbon or fabric
Paper Play (2 entries) - let it snow
Some Odd Girl (2 weeks) - window cards

Thanks for looking...please come back again. I'll promise I'll be good next time!
Hugs

Oooo, I haven't colored the Gingerbread House yet but this is perfect! Love the color of the gingerbread and the sparkling frosting. :D (And I never noticed the camera and satellite dish before!)

I think I could color all day as it's my favorite part... it's the card making that slows me down. ;D

Hahaha...funny girl :) you are in mood for jokes today... I swear I saw it's a shadow box ... after you mentioned it :) hihihi but you can see the shadows in the last pic...
Anyway the whole thing is so funny!!! Those borders were really a "must-have" so don't feel "guilty" about it (I know you're not hehehe). Funny image and cool coloring as usual...

I am with my internet down :((( until next week. I would have sent you lots of e-mails but I am writing everything in a hurry now...

So lots of hugs and I will let you know once I am back on track

Wow! Cool " not a card" shadow box!!!!!!
Love those borders girl, is that plain felt you've cut it out of?
Santa of course is perfect for us downunder, so summery and ready for a bbq. I didn't know he lived in a gingerbread house though....no wonder he's slighty hanging out of his shorts! Bet he has to replace bits of his house quite frequently!
And as for leaving things to the almost last minute.....well of course! Why do today what you can put off till tomorrow!

I love coming here - you always tickle me! I totally emphasize with the global warming mojo killer. I think it's killed Santa's mojo too - shouldn't he be hard at work directing the elves to make toys?

It might be a marginal shadowbox but as always, your coloring is totally amazing - you added all the shadows so beautifully creating amazing depth! Love the die cut felt too - a very cool embellishment!

Super 3-d project... always thrilled to have you join in the fun with us at Our Creative Corner!
