Sweeeet....

It has been a WHILE since I participated in Stamp Something challenge so here goes - the theme for next week is Something Sweet and the sponsor is Sugar Nellie.
For a long while I have seen those Simply Sassy images in blogland and finally decided to colour one up myself. She is called Luv A Latte and let me tell you, I struggled with her big time, just could not figure out how to do her face!
I cut the flowers out of BoBunny paper and dotted everything with Viva pearl pens.
That gorgeous chipboard corner is from Make It Crafty, coloured with pearl pen.

A found image - no challenge whatsoever, gasp

Going through the pile of scraps on my table (messy-messy-messy!) I came upon a coloured in ages ago. It was right after I had bought my first cute stamps and Promarkers so essentially I had been practicing both stamping AND colouring. I also found a stitched base panel for 6x6 card, also one of those practicing moments

Both looked quite clumsy and I would probably make quite a bit better job of those nowadays but I decided to put them onto a card nevertheless. One of those impulse moments.

There was a lot of Stckles and die-cutting involved. I had fun.

And do you know what - I'm surprisingly happy with the result! :D
Materials used:
Papers from K & Co
Stamp is Sugar Nellie Summer Ice Cream
Tools: Nestabilities, Bosskut & Sizzix dies
Colouring medium: Promarkers
Robin's Nest Dew drops, brad from my stash, flower from Papirloftet

Thanks for looking and have a lovely weekend!

Still in land of evil teeth

Da Babba has had couple of tough weeks and we along her. The only person who can sleep through Da Babba's miserable howls is Da Doddler ... that enables him to to be up nice and early... :D

Las night was surprisingly quiet so I got a chance to finish my card for Sugar Bowl challenge - I LOVED Marlene's sketch and just had to have a go. Went a bit mad with Gorjuss girls, they just fit the bill perfectly as I needed a cheer-up card for my friend who is going through some hard times.
Card recipe:
Papers: Pink Paislee
Stamps: Sugar Nellie, There She Comes & Joanna Sheen
Colouring mediums: Prismacolour pencils, metallic rubons, Sakura Stardust & glaze pens
Buttons: Basic Gray
Flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts
Maya Road sheer
Woodware punch
Cuttlebug ornamental dies
Ribbon & cord from stash

Can you MARRY My Minds Eye papers?

Cuz' I want to!!! Weelll, as long as I don't have to give up my adored hubby as well - is bigamy still illegal? Is it? Darn!

Couple of days ago postie (my best friend by now) brought me my Mosh-Posh kit with My Minds Eye Penny Lane papers - and let me tell you, those are fantastic! BIG bling card

The challenge in Sugar Bowl this time around is to make something you KNOW your mother is going to love.

Weelll, I KNOW my Mom likes big and sparkly, so out came BIG bling.

OK, so maybe it's not the most subtle card around and maybe it's not exactly the most tasteful one either. In fact, it might even be called tacky, feel free to do so.

But my Mom will LOVE it. Wasn't that a point?

Besides, I actually happen to adore those lovely fabric flowers. Pretty-pretty-pretty. True, they would have looked nicer with cute lil' pearls or brads but did I mention my Mom incidentally? And her affection for BIG bling?

Oh, I did, you say. Repeatedly, you say.

Oops, I say. I better bugger off and leave you with a card.

Erm - before I do, I'll have to give credit to GORGEOUS talented Dawne Ivey from 2 Sketches 4 U whose sketch I used. Lovely layout, tanks a lot Dawne.

Ta!

Materials used:

Image coloured with ProMarkers.

Flowers from Dunnes, All papers MM Flower Patch, cardstock Bazzill. Bling, twine, 3D paint and stickers from my stash.

Good intentions etc

Well, I started out armed with a sketch from Friday Sketchers. I had the card ready in my head, it was all very clen and simple with minimum embellishments and letting patterned paper to shine.

I DON'T think it quite worked out for me though cause here's the final result:
Simple, non-fussy and elegant it is NOT! Quite cute in it's own messy lets-pile-on-as-many embellies-as-we-can-fit way though.

And to make sure it would get even fiddlier I decorated inside as well.
Papers used are from Making Memories Mocha, Poolside & Rouge. Stamps are from Sugar Nellie, Fiskars and Inkidinkado, Flowers from Prima, Poppicrafts and Kaiser. Corners are Cuttlebug dies, flourishes BossKut dies.

Of course there's a lot of Stickles and dimensional paint involved. Ribbon, lace and brads from my stash, gemstones from Kaiser.
