Kenny K - red, white and blue

It's not an easy colour combo for me but I hope I rose to the current challenge at Kenny K Krafty Girlz. :)
hooray for the red white and blue

Sponsor of the challenge is Crafty Ribbons plus Kenny K offering 5 digi stamps!

Our Guest Designer is Debbie Pamment

And here's my card:
The colouring is pure Copics job - used my fave combo of E000/00/02/21/11/15 on the skin and dark brown for deep shadows in red.
The papers are from Lily Bee and I made the flowers myself. The leaves I just hand-cut from denim scrap which I had previously treated with pearlized acrylic paint. Some edges are treated with dark blue micropearls.
Thank you so much for visiting and happy crafting to you!!

Guest designer is Suzanne.
I coloured the image with Copics. The papers are from Cosmo Cricket Upcycle pad. The banner stamps are Whimsy Celebration Pennants Sentiments.

Fabulous Florals

Time for a new challenge at Kenny K's Krafty Girlz. Theme is Fabulous Florals - use anything flowery on your project.

Kenny is offering the winner 5 digi's of the winner's choice.
My card is featuring a very perky cheerleader from Kenny K Downloads. She is coloured with Copics, no other mediums involved - except that I used Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils for the little bits of grass.

The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps - it's a new set of film strip sentiments and you can also get a cool matching die to cut them out!
The swirls are cut out with Marianne's die and embossed with black sparkly embossing powder. The papers are from Basic Grey Olivia pad and I made the flowers myself from twill ribbon.
Pink lace is by Fancy Pants.
Thank you so much for visiting and happy crafting to you all!

Kenny K challenge - Anything Goes

If you are looking for WHIMSY STAMPS new release blog hop and prize draw then you can find my post HERE.

Today there's a real fun and easy challenge at Kenny K-s Krafty Girlz: ANYTHING GOES.
Our Guest Designer is Karla - welcome!

The digi I am using is called Strong Island.

Sponsors are - Michelle's Scrapbooking Store
 - offering $15 gift certificate to her store as well as Kenny offering 5 digi's of the winner's choice.

The image is coloured with Copic markers - nothing else in sight. I didn't  write down the colours though - sorry!!
The denim flowers I made myself from my toddlers ripped jeans which I had to turn into shorts. You know, with a scissors. :) Suddenly I had these bits of denim fabric I was reluctant to toss. All it took was some cord, scissors and glue gun and voila - cute flowers!

Oh, and the paper is Little Yellow bicycle Twig which I ADORE!
Challenges:
Fabulous Friday - Homemade/handmade embellishment.
Inspire Me Fridays - Anything goes
Do You Stack Up? - 3E, SIO - Challenge #15: Scallops
Pals Paper Arts - Use flowers
The Rubber Cafe - SIO - Challenge TRCC#13: Use fabric.
Stamp Insanity - SIO - Challenge #SISC55: Flowe power.

Luvs ya!

Here's a secret - I just can't do pink

First of all - happy Mother's Day to all who are celebrating today!

I struggle every single time with pink - especially if Copics are involved. Somehow it's very hard to achieve a good pink with those for me.

But the challenge at Kenny K-s Krafty Girlz is Pretty In Pink so I had another go. And no, not happy with the result.
The challenge sponsor is Wild Orchid crafts with a huge and very yummy prize
and also 5 digis from Kenny K Downloads.

Our guest designer this week is Debbie Lanci.

I am using Super Mom from the new release of images -  was kinda sneaky and did a very pink card with very little of pink on image itself, lol.
I was trying to give her honey blonde hair and it actually came out pretty well, glad I wrote the combo down! :)
COPICS:
Skin: E50/51/53
Hair: E99, YR24, Y26/32
Blues: B28/25/23/14, BG78
Top: R05/02/01, N3/5

Thank you so much for looking and happy crafting!

Something manly...

The challenge at Kenny K-s Krafty Girlz is NOT Something Manly. It's a actually a lovely and very workable sketch by Bev.

And wait until you see the prize:
Now that would be a lovely bit of a crafty spending!!!

I guess I felt a bit "frilled out" so my card became quite pared down and therefore utterly masculine.
I used an image called Cheers Dude and a sentiment from Little Paper Shop.
The colouring is once again Copics and the papers are from Basic Grey.

Copic colours:
Skin: E000/00/21/11/13
Hair:E49/55/49
E18/17/15/13/11
Top, hat: YG99/63/91, BG96

Challenges:
Fairy Fun Fridays (2nd week) – happy birthday
Simply Create (2nd week) - use your punches
Anything Goes - Eyelets and Brads (in corners)
Tuesday Morning Sketches - Heavy Metal
Cards For Men (2 weeks) - MASCULINE and Let's Party

Thanks for looking!!
Hugs
