Colouring sky with Copics - video tutorial and also a little sneak peek..

The challenge at Make It Colourful is colouring the sky this week - using whatever medium you want. You could enter with the oil painting as far as we are concerned! :)

I did my colouring with Copics and since I've had many questions about my Copic sky/clouds I decided to do a little video tutorial. Scroll to the end of the post to see it.
The April rubber stamp release previews are also in full swing at Whimsy Stamps.

I'm showing you a new stamp by Crissy Armstrong called Come Fly With Me. The card also uses two sentiment sets - Party Mini Letter Seals and Everyday Sayings Mini Postage Stamps. The sentiment stamps were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and Rhubarb Stalk.

All those stamps will be available at Whimsy Stamps on Wednesday, April 13th.
I used a digi background stamp called Country walk, cropped out a part of it and erased the clouds from the sky cause I wanted to draw my own.

The turtle was stamped first, then masked and run through printer to get the scene around him.

And yes, I know I managed to colour the balloon to look like a giant floating bottom (or a very ample bosom as per my husband). There were so many markers involved that I was too lazy to write them all into the post but if any of you is really interested in some colour combo then contact me and I'll get my acto together, lol.
Because the image was so busy and papers so modern retro I kept it very clean not to overpower the image totally. I only used a paper piercer and some Card Candy.
And now to my promised tutorial for colouring the sky/clouds with Copics. It's REALLY easy and fun.
The markers I use in video are B0000/91, C00/1, colourless blender.

You can see the video on Youtube HERE.

Challenges I'm entering:
Crafty Ann's -  Raise a smile
C.R.A.F.T. - Animals/pets
Paper Take Weekly - Anything Goes + Optional - Something New
Tuesday Throwdown - Spring
Make it Monday - Anything goes
Paper Playtime - 2W - Anything Goes
Sparkles Forum - 2W - Springtime

Thank you so much for looking and happy crafting!
Hugs

Just look at all the piercing! You do have a tool right, like one of those fancy roller ones? This is such a fun scene and I love how you set it up! Your color, of course, is fantastic and that brown is like yummy chocolate! The sky is so much fun - I *need* to give that a try but if you can believe it I'm afraid to mess it up. LOL!
