Yup, experimenting again

If you are looking for WHIMSY STAMPS new release blog hop and prize draw then you can find my post HERE.

Today is a new challenge at Tickled Pink Challenges and we have a really nice sketch to follow. I used a new  image called August.
She is coloured with Copic markers with Prismacolor pencils and the background is done with soft pastels.
I went for a really rich colour scheme and happy over-embellishing this time. :) The feathers were fished out my kids crafts box (one of these days they will start to slap my fingers!)

Tickled Pink Blog Hop and Sentimental Sundays - Birthdays

I am lucky enough to have a chance to take part of Tickled Pink Birthday Hop! I am also being a bit cheeky again and rolling two things into this card - Sentimental Sundays challenge for this Sunday is Birthday. It just felt right to join these two in one card!

What a month of previews, releases and giveaways Tickled Pink Stamps has had and now to top it all off a blog hop to go out with a BANG. To join the Pink Party of the year you can start HERE

And WHY is this hop not to be missed? There is a major prize at the wind down of the party, by hopping along you have a chance to win EVERY stamp released during the month of October, that is over 15 stamps, including all the images and sentiments from the first release. If they come in rubber and you want rubber over digi, then you can have rubber. If they only came out in digi then digi it is, it's all up to you and your liking. AND want to know something else? There are hidden candies hiding in within the hop.

If you have come from Yani then your on the right party line.

My card is using one of Lil' Lads - he is called Luca and I LOVE his smug smile and self-assured demeanor!

I made this card for Claire's son Daniel who is on the Autistic Spectrum suffering from Aspbergers Syndrome and can not have a birthday party. So every year before his birthday Claire puts up a card request for him so he could still celebrate. He has been very down this year and I really hope all the cards he will be getting are cheering him up a bit. I'm afraid my card might reach him after it's published on my blog - sorry, Claire!

I coloured Luca with Distress Inks, I really should practice with those more. A lot to learn, too few hours a day!
Daniel's name was stamped with a scrabble pieces rubber alphabet I FOUND in my stash! Yeah. I can SO come upon surprises rooting through different drawers. I cut the pieces out, stuck baker's twine to the back with Sookwang tape and mounted on red card. I think they look pretty cute hanging from the top of the card!

I sponged pretty much every available edge with Fired Brick distress ink. I'm obsessive like that. lol

Now your next party stop is Asa!

Thank you for joining the Tickled Pink Stamps hop and have FUN.

Hugs

I'm a Visiting Crafting Woman at Tickled Pink

Tickled Pink is celebrating their 1st birthday with a big party of loads of releases and guest designers. I am lucky enough to be amongst them and get to play with couple of ultra cute images!

Today we are showcasing Kellita - TA-DAAA:

She is available as a digital image from Oct. 30th at midnight - well, in Australia. I'm a bit muddled with my time zones. Even this post is a little (cough-cough) late. I think you will be able to preorder the rubber version as well.

Kellita is coloured with my trusty Copics. I will list the colours further on - yes, I actually remembered to write them down and didn't loose the slip of paper. Yay me!

The papers are from wonderful Restoration pad from Crate paper - LOVE it. So rich and warm and luxurious while still deliciously vintage.

The stitching is all by hand using a really cool multicoloured THICK embroidery floss - boy it was a nasty job to get it through the paper but I LOVE the result.

White corrugated thingie - erm, it was around the cookies. Saved it, cut the piece, inked it. Perfect.

The leaves are die-cuts I got from Tara, I embossed them with four (4) different colours of UTEE to get them right but now I love them.

And the sentiment is combined from several Elzybells stamps - they are now out of business, sadly. Excellent designs and real good quality.

Now the, and the promised Copic shades are:
Skin: E01/21/00/000/0000 (yes, I know it looks flat in the pictures, I guess because everything else was quite dark the camera didn't really pick up on skin contrasts. not that I'm a crappy photographer or anything!)
Boots: E79/39/97/99
Reds: R59/37/35/32
Yellows: YR24, Y35, YR15, Y21
Blues: B99/97/95/93/91
Hair: E47/44/34/42

I'd like to enter these challenges:
One Stitch at a Time - Any Celebration
The Crazy Challenge - Tons of Shapes
Digital Tuesday - Include a non-craft item
A Spoonful Of Sugar - die cuts or punches
Crafty Calendar (monthly) - birthdays
Papertake - sparkly
Craft Your Passion - Sparkles
