Spotted chicks for The Spotted Chick

I came upon an image from Hambo Stamps I had printed out some time ago and, as it sometimes happens, I suddenly knew exactly what card I was going to make!

Recently I have discovered a fabulous blog by Jeanie a.k.a. The Spotted Chick. Her cards are funny and amazingly beautiful and occasionally she is runs a little challenge called Now That's Krafty! All you have to do is to use kraft card on your project somewhere.


So I decided to present The Spotted Chick with some spotted chicks! lol

I used 2 Sketches 4 You sketch again, just because I liked it a lot and thought it would work beautifully with my idea. I still think it does! :)

The image from Hambo was colored with Copics and then hand sewn to the background panel. The scallops were punched with MS border punch. Then I just added some more hand sewing to the bigger panel, wrapped some lace and bakers twine from my stash below the image and added a cute button with a twine bow on top of Nesties tag.


All the papers were sponged with Tea Dye distress ink, just to give some added depth. The papers are from October Afternoon Fly A Kite collection.
