Stampin' For The Weekend - Halloween or fall

I decided to choose an option to make a all card for Stampin' For The Weekend design team. And there's a reason for that.

You see, couple of weeks ago I was admiring some cool leaves on The Funkie Junkie (Linda) blog. She sprays die cut leaves (and flowers) with the mixture of distress ink, water and perfect pearls and then crumples them. So there I was, whingeing that I don't have any leaf dies and can't try it out and life is hard and economy sucks...yadda-yadda-yadda. Suffice to say she must have got sick of me since this week I received an envelope full of die cuts from her. LOL

Well, I grabbed the envelope, rushed upstairs and attacked them with about gazillion hues of Shimmerz Spritz. And crumpled. And heat gunned. And sprayed AGAIN. Note: RUBBER GLOVES ARE YOUR FRIENDS.

Anyway, the problem is I liked them so much I went a bit mad and plopped almost all the ones I made onto one card. As a result we have a gorgeous Autumn Harvest Ride carousel horse FLOATING on whooping pile of oversized leaves.

Hmmm. Still like the leaves though. They don't look as nice on photos as they do irl, kinda loose their "leafiness" and just seem like shiny heap on crumpled paper. Photographer I am not.

And since I was at it, I shimmerspritzed the background for the horse and all the rest of papers on the card as well. Which, if I am not mistaken, are from now out-of-business Rusty Pickle.

The harvest horse (love him!!) was printed on watercolour paper, washed under the tap, dried with heat gun and then painted with DIstress Inks. Of course I added some Sakura Stardust as well. It's not like I'm mortally ill or something.

The sentiment is from Raindrop Echo's Autumn Sentiments digi set at Whimsy Stamps. It's distressed with Shimmerz paints, quite excessively so. I chose Shimmerz because they do not make inkjet ink run. I'm cunning like that. lol

Now, that was a long and boring post, sorry. All that remains is to enter some challenges:
Paper Sundaes - Change of Season
Kaboodle Doodles - Celebrate the Colors of Fall
The Shabby Tea Room - Pumpkin Patch
Stampavie and More - autumn
Bunny Zoe's Crafts (2nd monday) - autumn love
Stamps R Us - all nature theme

Thanks for looking and happy crafting!
Hugs

Looks like autumn has arrived in Ireland! Glad you had fun with the die cuts. You certainly put them to good use! I agree, our projects always look so much better IRL!
