Hmmm... not sure

I received my Mosh-Posh kit in mail yesterday and was quite hesitant after opening it. It features new name on the block Lily Bee and their 3 Little Birds papers. Which are kinda cute, but I wasn't so sure if it was entirely my thing.

As usual in those cases I set more appealing papers aside and decided to try out the awkward ones right away.

One thing I really liked about that line is that they feature a sheet of die-cut 6'' mats. I decided to use one of those (pale blue circle) and pretty much built the card around it.

I chose a cutesy image from one of my fave stamp companies, Bildmalarna. I think they are fairly new but oh so cute and a joy to colour in. Used my new Whispers brush markers for colouring, result isn't too bad at all.

Then I dug out a recipe from this weeks Daring Cardmakers challenge and stuck to it. Love recipes, they give me good limitations and therefore reduce my time rooting around in stash looking for something I fancy.

The recipe was:
3 different papers
At least one piece of chipboard
At least 1 button
At least 1 piece of ribbon
optional: 1 extra item/element of your choice

I am still not sure if like Lily Bee papers but can certainly work with them.

Materials used:
Cardstock: Core'dinations pre-distressed vintage card.
Papers: Lily Bee 3 Little Birds
Colouring mediums: Whispers markers, metallic rubons, Pebeo Touch 3D paint, Ranger crackle paint, Memento Tuxedo Black & Rich Cocoa ink pad.
Main Image; Bildmalarna, sentiment - not sure, I think it's Technique Tuesday.
Button - American Crafts.
Flowers, chipboard vine, pins & twine all from my stash.

Thanks for looking!

Annika

Oh Annika I love this card!!!! It's soooo sweet! The papers are really beautiful! I have only seen these images a few times now but they are so darling...love 'em! Your colourings is fabulous and I love how you distressed around the edges of the image. Did you do that with the Metallic Rub-ons? Love all the elements and embellies....stunning!
Yes, I do have Irish roots and very proud of it,smile!!!! My Dad (Patrick) is from Co. Down N. Ireland. I guess you could say that I am first generation Canadian. My Dad is very involved in the Irish Canadian community and is still very Irish, smile even though he has lived in Canada now longer than he lived in Ireland!!!!! I still have a lot of family in Ireland...Aunts and Uncles and many, many cousins. My Granny has passed on now. Last time I visited I was 12, so, 25 years ago! I would so love to visit Ireland again...hopefully in the near future and I would love my children to visit too!
Thank you for the lovely comments and I hope you have a very Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!!
Big hugs,t
