Totally an awww-factor

Guess what, I'm a
I was lucky enough to win one of Card Patterns sketch challenges in December and here's my contribution to this weeks sketch challenge.
I used an adorable rubber stamp from Whimsy, it's called Love in a Bucket. I thgought I'd try to revive my mojo by trying a different medium so I dug out my long-forgotten Twinkling H2O-s. Well, that was a mistake! I was pulling my hair out trying to blend them, the mica powder that gives them a sparkle just kept pooling on me and it took me almost 3 hours to get the poorly result you can see here.

Anybody want to buy a hefty supply Twinkling H2O-s cheap, loadsa colours and most of them not even used? Cause I won't be using them again!! :( I've seen people achieving gorgeous results with them - just not me!
As to papers - well they're from Sassafrass and I really loved them while I cut into them. Once they were on the card I just went YUK.

So, the short version - not one of my proudest moments here, lol
I'll still enter some challenges though :)

    You are way too critical girlie!!! Your card is gorgeous,different gorgeous to your other cards but gorgeous all the same!!!! I think the dark blue pattern is soooo strong and busy that it would just throw but you just worked it baby!!! Have a great weekend! Julie x

    I have a bunch of Twinkling H20s that I can't seem to what I want either. I do think that your image looks great with them, the puppies look fuzzy! I think this is a beautiful card! Thanks for joining us at The Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenge. We love seeing your wonderful creations!

    Yep, we're definitely our own worst critics! I think this is charming. I LOVE those papers and that image is just darling (and beautifully colored, I might add)! Love that lacy stuff along the bottom too!

    You are way to hard on yourself, your colouring is amazing ! I know what you me though, I used my distress inks this week for the first time in months and felt the same !

    Well you got me with the cute image! As for twinklingfriggin-h2Os, I get blobs of colour so don't use them much at all now except for a bit of highlighting. But this is fab Annika! Yummy papers and ribbon.

    These pups are adorable, what a great stamp! They actually look fuzzy in the picture, so even though you weren't happy, they look so cute. Papers are so pretty and make the lighter colors of your image pop! Thanks for sharing your card with us at the Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenge this month. Always love to see what you are creating.

    I just smiled so big when I saw this card. I thought nothing negative either! I just love the colouring job and the papers! They complement beautifully! Take your "mud coloured" glasses off GF! This is great stuff!
