Whimsy Digi Release Day and Birthday Celebrations

Whimsy Stamps is celebrating second birthday in November. To say thank you to all the customers there will be a special offer every week. This week all the rubber stamps excluding custom designs will be 25% off!!

Today is also a digi release day at Whimsy, there's some real cute Christmas designs from Crissy and absolutely stunning sentiment sets by Ann (including some new Nestie-friendly frames).

I wanted to show you this cute Christmas Angel - there's such a gentle feel of bygone days about her.

She is coloured with Copics. I will list the colours further on. I didn't feel like glitter so I added some sparkle detail with Sakura clear Stardust pen.

The papers are from old MM pad - I love the papers in it but it's so badly gummed that it's almost impossible to get sheets out in one piece. grrrr I embossed the back panel for the angel with Papermania folder and sponged lightly with chalk ink in Raw Silk.

I put one of the framed sentiments inside but of course forgot to take a photo!!

There's also some Prima lace and flower (one of my big favorites and I'm running out!!!) and satin ribbon from my stash involved. The punch is from EK Success. I distressed all the papers with my scissors.

    Her hair is gorgeous, Annika! I love the golden shine to it. Can you tell me how you distress the edges of your paper? Do you wait til its glued down or rough it up before or what?

    At the risk of sounding VERY boring I have to say that your colouring totally rocks girl! You get the shading spot on and it gives your images so much depth. I also love the embossing behind her, it's so pretty and those papers are lush!
    Another beautiful creation I have to say but then I wouldn't expect anything less, lol!

    Your coloring is absolutely spectacular, Annika! There is so much depth and dimension to your darling angel. When I first saw her I was convinced that if I reached out and ran my fingers across my computer screen that I would be able to feel the texture of her. The coloring/dimension on the the wings is amazing and you've got the deep cloth folds down perfectly! The entire piece is a visual masterpiece, but then your makes always are!
