7 Kids College Fund Challenge - Flowers and Layers

Now this is my sort of a challenge this week at 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog!! My cards usually weigh a ton with all the layers and some flowers tend to almost always sneak on...mysteriously.

As the autumn with all it's damp and resulting colds/flu is upon us, I decided to make a standby Get Well card. Whiff Of Joy has the most adorable Get well collection and I used SICK HENRY I just received from my wonderful blog friend Dorcas. By "just received" I mean - out of envelope, quickly coloured with Prismacolor pencils and onto a card. lol

The papers are from Sassafras Lass, all paper pierced and faux stitched with Sakura Stardust pen. Flowers are from Prima, perked up with wooden buttons and raffia. BTW, if ever you want to work with raffia then GLUE GUN IS YOUR FRIEND!!! :D

All the edges are sponged with Vintage Photo distress ink, corners and sentiment circle finished off with little pearls.

I used a sketch from WOJ Challenge because it was just what I needed - loads of layers! :)

I'd like to enter following challenges:
Crafty Pad - Make Something for a Friend
Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Buttons, Flowers & Friend
Kaboodle Doodles - Celebrate the Colors of Fall
Charsima Cardz - Autumn Colors
If the Shoe Fits - Don't Stress, Distress
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - Distressing

Thanks for looking and happy crafting
Hugs
