Tomorrow Whimsy Stamps is releasing a hefty bundle of absolutely gorgeous rubber stamps and we (the DT, I mean) are allowed to offer a little sneak peeks.
The image itself was stamped on watercolour paper with Versafine, watercoloured with Derwent Inktense pencils and then cut out.
I made a tent fold card with accordion bottom and acetate front. Dotted some acrylic paint on the back of acetate to create a snowfall and stuck some punched stars onto the background. Also hung some punched stars inside the card on VERY thin acetate strips to create more dimension.
The poinsettia is die-cut with Mariannes Creatable dies, sprayed very thickly with glu and then glittered, result is very textured and "snow-covered".
And after all that work I could NOT for the life of me, get a decent photo. You'll just have to take my word it's actually quite a pretty card. The shiny surface of acetate was just doing my head in, whatever angle I tried there was always either a glare or really weird shadows. Those couple are the most decent ones I could manage. Sorry, folk, not a photographer here!! lol
Don't forget to pop back tomorrow - there's a big blog hop coming up with LOADS of eye candy and plenty of prizes too!!
